At Green Acres Land Development, Inc., the mulch process begins long before the finished product reaches your landscape beds. It starts with raw trees, brush, and wood materials being carefully processed through powerful grinding equipment designed to turn natural wood into high-quality mulch.
The first stage is the initial grind. Large tree limbs, trunks, and wood debris are fed through industrial grinding machinery, where they are broken down into rough mulch material. This first grind reduces the wood into manageable pieces while preserving the natural fiber and texture of the wood.
Once the material has completed the first stage, it moves into the second grind. This step is what creates the finer, more consistent texture many homeowners, landscapers, and contractors prefer. The second grinding process further refines the mulch, producing a cleaner, more uniform product that spreads easily and creates a polished appearance in flower beds, around trees, and throughout landscaped areas.
After the mulch reaches the desired consistency, it enters the coloring process. During this stage, the mulch is blended with environmentally friendly colorant and moisture to create rich, long-lasting color. The material is continuously turned and mixed to ensure even color coverage throughout the entire batch.
